Vivian's Story
I currently work at Texarkana College and I am also a columnist for Texarkana Gazette.
May 16, 2015, My son, Christopher and daughter law, Chelsey gave me my first Grandbaby, Hailey Grace Osborne. She is my pride and joy. I have received and associate degree from Texarkana College and a bachelors degree from Texas A&M-Texarkana. I have four children. The oldest the one I was pregnant with in school passed away at age five from Spinal Meningitis, she is the reason your children get that shot now, It is an easily caught disease but certain kind can kill in 24 hours. We fought had to have that shot made necessary. We took her to the ER several times and they finally kept her but due to the lack of test of action she passed away at 12:20 that night, September 19, 1985. time of her death we also had a 6 month old named Audrey. We became foster parents and worked with children in many different places. We received Amanda at birth through foster care and end up adopting her, and then we adopted Christopher from Dallas. The are 6 months apart so it was like I had twins. A great blessing !! I play the drums in our church and love it. I have gone skydiving which is the most awesome thing I have even done that was crazy. Which I could just live on the wing of a plane or stay in the air forever. What is funny I am scared to climb a ladder, guess it had to be 10,000 feet in the air...LOL I have made a lot of mistakes but had many blessings. God is great!
